Very close to everything and easy yo get around. Staff very nice.
The room that I got was okey due to the air condition water was dripping down from balcony to balcony.
Ease of booking
Lack of parking, Spouse has disability, classified by State of sc and there was little parking close to building. Made it difficult having to drop her off fight traffic to park if space open in "remote parking. This would be reason I would suggest another family with same circumstance try another resort.
Everything within walking distance-leave the car parked.
I like the fact that is was right on the Beach. I also liked the location, it wasn't far from the shopping areas.
The facility advertised itself as a resort, the TV was from the 1970's the room decore was ancient. The water from the air conditioning unit above us was dripping onto our balcony so that we couldn't sit outside. They didn't have coffee in the "resort" at all and their "cafe" didn't open until 10am, so I had to drive to get coffee in the mornings.
The contact with management was excellent and responsive. The location is excellent for beach lovers and the facilities, though lacking food service, was very adequate. We did not use the swimming facilities on site as we did not sufficient time but outwardly, they looked in excellent condition and well taken care of. Grounds were well maintained.
No food service available on site but plenty with in walking distance.
It was very clean. Housekeepers were very friendly and everything was wellcleaned. The pools were nice n the lawn well kept.
The view was wonderful, oceanfront and well lighted at night.
The room was outdated. Need new televisions amd newer kitchen appliances. The elevators were dirty amd hallways were drab.
the friendly people and how they kept the pools clean and rooms
not enought towles in the bath room
I liked the fact that I was ocean front, and the many pools that the hotel offered.
I did not like the fact that our room was not ready upon our arrival. We did arrive after the requested check-in time, and still had to wait an hour before we could go to our room.I Also did not like the fact that the beds had no fitted sheet on them. It was just a small cover and then a flat sheet. It was not a comfortable bed.
I cant think of a single good thing to say about Boardwalk Beach Resort.
The staff is inattentive, unknowledgable and utterly of no value. The pictures you show on the internet are of a different hotel. And I am not the only one who felt that way at the check in desk. Dumpsters in alley ways between hotels gave off quite a wonderful aroma. Air conditioner broken upon arrival in second room. Lights in bath not functioning. Locked out of room because they did not even know what room we where in. Excessive taxes and add on fees. Almost like a third world country with the people who visit Myrtle Beach. Pot smoking on balconies, beer cans thrown from upper levels and to top it all off, losers taking a pee from upper levels. Obviously, this place could really benefit from a security firm and new mgmt!
The staff was excellent, friendly and as helpful as they could be... The location was very good...
Management was not so friendly or helpful... The rooms we were assigned were shabby.
Closes to the beach. The pool area. The view from the balcony.
The building felt old and the rooms reminded me of a motel. The walls between rooms are very thinn. Could hear other guests. Parking was tricky. Location of reception was inconvenient.
I like the showers.
I didn't like how the housekeeper tried to come in our room without knocking on the door, instead she tried to unlock the door. Also, the sliding door to the outside wouldn't open, I had to fix it. I would rate this hotel 3 out of 10 for overall.
the beds were too small and we tried to upgrade but we could not with hotel which was unsatisfactory. it was not a good stay and will not be staying again.
the rooms were too small and needed to be upgraded
Nothing like the pictures I saw when I booked the room. Outdoor pool that is covered very very dimly lit. No blow dryers in bathroom.
